This Candle Holder is made using a process called steam bending. The fronds are heated up with steam which allow the wood to be bent without breaking, once formed they will dry in a few minutes and set in the new shape. The fronds are then glued to the base which is turned on a lathe, there is a metal insert to hold a tealight. The wood is a mystery as it was found in the depths of an old workshop.
It measures approximately 400mm Wide x 180mm Tall.
